Bangladesh has cemented its position as the second-largest garment exporter globally, transforming from an emerging textile hub into a key driver of the global fashion supply chain. The sector contributes significantly to the country’s GDP and employment, powered by an abundant labor force, competitive manufacturing costs, and strategic trade agreements. Government reforms, sustainability initiatives, and Industry 4.0 adoption are now shaping the next phase of growth, ensuring that Bangladesh remains a leader in ethical and sustainable fashion production.
To highlight these opportunities, Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and HSBC will co-organize the Apparel & Textiles session in partnership with BIDA at the Bangladesh Investment Summit 2025. This high-impact session will bring together global apparel leaders, manufacturers, investors, policymakers, and sustainability advocates to explore Bangladesh’s evolving role in the international textile and garment industry.
