OVERVIEW

The National Special Economic Zone (NSEZ) is one of Bangladesh’s most ambitious development initiatives, designed to transform the country’s industrial landscape. Developed under the Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) and the Chief Adviser’s Office, NSEZ aims to attract domestic and foreign investment, fostering a globally competitive industrial ecosystem. Beyond industry, NSEZ will integrate residential areas, a financial hub, city centers, educational institutions, and tourism facilities, creating a self-sustaining economic hub.

NSEZ is strategically situated along the Bay of Bengal, spanning parts of Mirsarai and Sitakunda in Chattogram and Sonagazi in Feni District. It offers seamless connectivity to major transportation routes, including the Dhaka-Chattogram National Highway, Chattogram Port, and Chattogram’s Shah Amanat International Airport. Land allotment is currently in progress.

Integrated transport network with road, rail, and port connectivity, Jetty facility and Inland Container Depot (ICD) to support logistics

155 confirmed investors, with plans for 500 industries and $19 billion in investment proposals from both local and international investors in the pipeline.
